The Battle of Flowers Oratorical competition is the second-longest running oratorical competition in the United States, and the longest running competition of its kind in Texas. For this event, Texas collegiate competitors research, write, and then deliver a 10-12 minute speech completely from memory on a given Texas historical topic.
